Tile Sketch

This was the sketch I came up with for my final tile. I thought it looked like Miley Cyrus but my tile actually looks like me. I was sort of surprised because I couldn't really draw myself until I sat down and really tried to draw myself.

Original Tile Idea

This was a sketch of my original ceiling. I was going to do my eyes cross eyed with a quote above them. I didn't really want to do that exact one but I was getting very frustrated when trying to draw the one I wanted so I settled for this. It looked good but I really wanted to do my original so I whited out my whole tile and restarted.

Ceiling Tile

As of right now, this is my ceiling tile. It is almost done. I only have a few more details and my eyes left to do. My tile has come a long way especially since I changed my whole tile when I was almost done with my first tile.

Feats of Clay

I was lucky enough to go to Feats of Clay. It was a blast and I learned it really had nothing to do with what Mrs. G taught us all year. It was still a good time, even though we tied for last and it rained all day. We were the craziest and dirtiest team there. We also cheered for Hilliard Bradley most of the time.

Teapot Final

This is my final, my teapot. It is not yet glazed but when it is done it will look like an angry bird pig with a helmet. I just recently broke the handle off as well because the handle was too small compared to the rest of my teapot.

Chip Dip Bowl

This is my chip dip bowl. It is a little bit smaller that all of the other chip dip bowls. My main color is Orkid and I am putting cheetah print on it with Tiger Tail and Down To Earth.

Lidded Jar

This is my lidded jar. I started off with a pin tool putting dots all over the whole thing but then I accidentally left it out and it got too dry to continue the dot without it cracking. Therefor I just glazed it. I glazed it in Black Ice and dripped Aztec Turquoise over that. My lid was also the Aztec Turquoise.

Ceiling Tile

This is my ceiling tile in progress. I have faded the purple in the middle into the two colors I mixed to get the purple. I have the space in my eyes not painted so I don't have to paint over the background. I also have my quote written in white charcoal.

Acrylic Color Chart

This was a project I did in one day. I wanted to be different and do the triangles instead of the boring rectangles.

Texture

For my texture project I decided to do a sugar skull. I put a lot of detail into it. I got very frustrated while doing this project but I do like how it turned out.

Owl

This is the owl lantern I threw. He is glazed in old pewter. He is sooo cute. His name is Jamal.

Vases

We were supposed to be making 2 vases but I felt bad because I made them really small by accident,  so I made 3. My first one, on the left I used the glaze aquamarine jewel. The one on the right was camel with blue ranch on top. And my favorite was the middle one, which was rust red with dripped with blue ranch.

Koi Fish (watercolor tutorial #2)

This was my fourth and final watercolor and I chose to do a Koi Fish. I used watercolor on this piece and I love love love how this one turned out. And I love how the black makes every little detail stand out a lot.

Bob Marley watercolor progress

This is my first tutorial piece I am working on and it is the face of a lion and a face of Bob Marley in one. I am most excited about this one because I have wanted to do something with this for so long.

Artist Place Setting

For my Artist Themed Place Setting the artist I was representing was Jackson Pollock. I painted the base a light purple and put a bog glob of glaze on my paint brush and shook the paint off to get the splattered effect.

Watercolor Landscape

For my landscape I did the Northern Lights. I used watercolor and I like how the sky turned out but not so much how everything else turned out.

Watercolor Tutorial #1

This is my first tutorial piece I am working on and it is the face of a lion and a face of Bob Marley in one. I am most excited about this one because I have wanted to do something with this for so long.

Artist Place Setting

(brad is awesome) I have been working on my 4 piece place setting and my artist it was based off of was Jackson Pollock. The process I went through to complete my work was throwing on the wheel and splatter painting glaze onto my pieces. The main idea of my pieces was to mimic the artwork of Jackson Pollock. I feel the project is turning out better than I expected because the pieces look very cool when glaze fired.

Watercolor detail

I just finished my watercolor detail by filling in the white spots with black and adding black wrinkles into his snout

1 cup and 1 bowl

I mixed glazes for the first time and loved how they turned out. And then my bowl I used one glaze and a stroke and coat and I loved it.

Watercolor Detail

This is my detailed watercolor in progress. I used washes to make the face of the lion, and thin brushstrokes of yellow and brown to make the mane.

Painting (Tempera)

Dream Catcher
I think I did challenge myself with this piece because it was difficult to paint the feathers and strings and not getting the black into the feathers.
My piece did not turn oit exactly how I envisioned but I am proud of the work I did.
I think I could make it better if I would've went over a few of the feathers another time or two.

Ceramics 2 Progress

2 Cups and 2 Bowls ( in progress)
And Kennedy!
I feel that I am being challenged on these projects because it is something I am not used to doing so it is a little difficult for me.
My work never turns out how I envision it, I think I have very high expectations.
I think I will be able to make it better if I slow down when I throw. I think it will help me imensly.
